Common Questions

Who is Jack?

Jack is our imaginary friend, ready to serve you. Jack recommends cards for you, finds your cards in the warehouse, prepares and sends your packages, and generally solves your problems. He solves our problems as well—rather nice chap he is. In fact, we just sit around and let Jack do everything. We wish! In our world there’s no Jack, we just liked the sound of Jack Cards.

Will Jack Cards sell my personal data?

Absolutely not. Nor will we sell your contacts’ data. Jack Cards is in the business of selling cards, not data. We’ll use your data only to fulfill your requests through Jack Cards. For more detailed information, see our Privacy Policy.

How do I pay for my cards?

Jack Cards offers you the convenience of Google Checkout - a faster, more secure payment service by Google. Set up an account with Google only once, and then every time you buy from Jack Cards and other participating Google Checkout stores, you can do so with one simple and secure Google login. It's fast and easy, and most importantly it offers you more security. Google maintains your address and credit card information. When you make a purchase, your credit card will be charged by Google Payment Corporation and not by Jack Cards, and your credit card number will not be shared with Jack Cards.

How do I add an event into 'My Planner'?

It's very easy! To add events, go to 'My Planner' and click on your contact's name, then click on ADD NEW EVENT under Unscheduled Events.  Add other events like holidays with preset dates, and anniversaries, weddings, graduations...you name it!.

How do I select to have my cards addressed and stamped?

Step 1. Start by logging into your account and click on 'My Planner' in the main menu bar.

Step 2. If you haven't already done so, add your friends & family to your Planner - you can do this by clicking on Add New Contact or you can upload your contacts via vCards (see below).

Step 3. Now the fun begins! Click on Browse, find the perfect Holiday Cards for your friends and family, and add them to your Shopping Bag (click on the card thumbnail to add more than one to your Shopping Cart) - when you've finished shopping click on 'My Shopping Cart' in the top right hand corner.

Step 4. To address or stamp your cards, simply click on the Edit links beside your cards in your Shopping Cart. A window will pop open and this is where you can click on 'Yes' to select a stamp, and 'Yes' to have your recipient's address and your return address printed.

It's that simple!

How do I import contacts via a vCard?

You first need to export your contacts into a vcf file from where they are currently stored. Programs like the Address Book on Mac OS X, and Gmail allow export of all contacts in one vcf file (Microsoft Outlook only accepts one contact per file).

Each program has different steps for exporting, however you can usually find the Export function in the file menu or on the page where your contacts are listed. Once you’ve exported and saved your vCard file to your computer, go to your Jack Cards Organizer, and under Import Your Contacts (which can be found in the top left corner of your Organizer), click on Browse. Select your saved vCard file and click on Import.

Your contacts and their information will appear in your Planner and you will be good to go!

What is a vCard?

A vCard is a standard file format which is used to exchange electronic business cards, often via e-mail. They can contain contact information, URLs, logos, photographs, and audio clips. Most contact programs allow you to export your contacts as vCards into a vcf file.

How do I order more than one card of the same design?

Once you've found the perfect card simply enter the amount you would like receive in the quantity box and click 'Add to Cart'. It's that simple!

What if I want to cancel my membership?

If you cancel your Jack Cards account any information you may have entered will be deleted. Of course membership to Jack Cards is free so you can keep your information there indefinitely just in case you have a future greeting card emergency. If you still decide to cancel your account, please email us at info@jackcards.com.

What if a card I ordered doesn’t arrive on time?

If your card doesn’t arrive (occasionally cards get lost in the mail), we’ll send you a new card ASAP. However, if we notice an abnormal amount of lost cards, members will have their memberships canceled while we determine the cause.

Can I address and stamp my own cards?

Yes, of course you can. Or alternatively if you're strapped for time you can choose to have Jack Cards stamp and address them for you. You decide what works best.
