Addressing and Stamping
Questions
How do I select to have my cards addressed and stamped?
Step 1. Start by logging into your account and clicking on 'My Planner' in the main menu bar.
Step 2. If you haven't already done so, add your friends & family to your planner - you can do this by clicking on Add New Contact or you can upload your contacts via Facebook, Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo! Select which one you would like to import from and click ‘Next’.
Step 3. Select the contacts you would like to import (everyone will be selected initially) and click save. An Invite Email will be sent to each of your contacts prompting them to give you their address and birthday and/or anniversary. Once they complete the information it will automatically update in your planner!
Step 4. Now the fun begins! Click on Browse, find the perfect holiday cards for your friends and family, and add them to your Shopping Cart - when you've finished shopping click on 'My Shopping Cart' in the top right hand corner.
Step 5. To address or stamp your cards, simply click on 'schedule card' beside your cards in your Shopping Cart. A window will pop open and this is where you can click on 'Yes' to select a stamp, and 'Yes' to have your recipient's address and your return address printed.
It's that simple!
How do I import contacts via a vCard?
You first need to export your contacts into a vcf file from where they are currently stored. Programs like the Address Book on Mac OS X, and Gmail allow export of all contacts in one vcf file (Microsoft Outlook only accepts one contact per file).
Each program has different steps for exporting, however you can usually find the Export function in the file menu or on the page where your contacts are listed. Once you’ve exported and saved your vCard file to your computer, go to your Jack Cards Planner, and under Import Your Contacts (which can be found in the top left corner of your Planner), click on Browse. Select your saved vCard file and click on Import.
Your contacts and their information will appear in your Organizer and you will be good to go!
What is a vCard?
A vCard is a standard file format which is used to exchange electronic business cards, often via e-mail. They can contain contact information, URLs, logos, photographs, and audio clips. Most contact programs allow you to export your contacts as vCards into a vcf file.
