How do I pay for my cards?
The first time you purchase a card, you will be directed to Google Checkout, where you will create a Google account if you don't have one already. (You do NOT have to have a Google email account to create a Google Checkout account.) Cards are relatively small purchases, and the great thing about Google Checkout is that once you've added your credit card details you won't have to reenter those numbers again, saving you time.
Will Jack Cards ever charge my credit card automatically?
No. Jack Cards does not have accesss to credit card information, as all purchased go securely through Google Checkout.
Can I buy just one card to start?
Absolutely. We know that you might want to “test” us. In order to purchase a card, you need to enter in enough data so that we can send you the card, so there is a quick sign-up process. To buy your card you'll be directed to Google's Checkout and after purchasing it you can always return to the Jack Cards website by clicking on the link as directed by Google. You are welcome to buy just one, but we’re also here to make it easy for those who want to use Jack Cards for all their greeting card needs. We hope after testing Jack Cards you'll be back to buy more.
If I cancel, what happens?
If you cancel your Jack Cards account any information you may have entered will be deleted. Of course, membership to Jack Cards is free so you can keep your information there indefinitely just in case you have a future greeting card emergency.
Under what circumstances can I have a refund?
Scheduling a card is the same thing as purchasing a card, and because we base our inventory decisions on scheduled cards, we cannot refund orders that have been scheduled. If your card doesn’t arrive within the stated shipping time, we’ll send you a new card ASAP or refund your account. However, if we determine this privilege is being abused, we will cancel a membership.
What if I have a problem with a payment, refund, or cancellation?
Jack Cards offers quick email support. 1) go to Contact Us at the upper right-hand corner of this page, 2) submit an email explaining your issue, and 3) don’t forget to include your name and email. We guarantee we'll get back to you within 48 hours but will endeavor to get back to you much sooner!
Why do I pay a sales tax?
Our sales transactions take place in California and Michigan so if you reside in either if these states, Jack Cards is required by law to collect sales tax from California and Michigan residents. That being said, the law is in flux, and shortly, we’ll learn if we have to collect sales tax for all states or no states. . . we’ll keep you posted.
What are the shipping charges per card?
For any cards that are scheduled to arrive to you 2 or 4 weeks before someone's birthday or other event, our shipping rate is $0.98 cents per card. A flat shipping fee of $5.55 is charged for any cards you select to have sent to you now. This covers the cost of sending your cards to you via Priority Mail so that they will arrive in 2-3 business days. However if you spend $50 or more (excluding stamps), shipping is FREE to customers in the US!
For cards that you select to have sent for you on your behalf with a handwritten message inside, we charge a flat handling fee of $1.50 per card.
The cost of stamps is not included in the shipping charges.
